Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going into the big
screen to play comedy films like 'Elf 'Anchorman,' and Talladega Nights. Will
Ferrell was born in Irvine, California in 1967. He started his comedy career as
an actor in the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, the group known as the
Groundlings. He was an Saturday Night Live cast member for seven years before
becoming a huge comedic draw with off-color films, like Old School 2003 and
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was also co-founder of the
streaming video site Funny or Die and enjoyed his success as a voice actor in
animated films such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in
Irvine, California on July 16 1967. The youngest child of Righteous Brothers
keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own
admission, not the class clown while an undergraduate at University High
School. He was quiet and quiet but he did choose to play football who set a
school record for the most field goals scored. Ferrell was more of a relaxed
person at home in the suburbs, and he didn't display the same kind of funny or
outrageous outbursts later to define his career. His mother, who was
interviewed by Esquire reported that her son was very calm and amiable.
"You remember those little Matchbox cars?" Will put together his
Matchbox cars completely by himself and be completely content. It would be a
simple question "Do you want to go Disneyland today?" or "You
want your cars lined up?" You'd have to think about the matter. Ferrell
was not a perfectly straight man but that's not to say he was not. A glimpse of
his comedic abilities was evident each day in high school, as he disguised his
voice in order to announce his daily activities via the PA system. Ferrell
earned his degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in
1986. He joined Delta Tau fraternity, and went on to pursue a degree in sports
journalism.
