Big Time Rush The Big Time Rush, an American pop group was formed in the year 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson. They signed their first contract with Nick Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records. They were featured in Nickelodeon's TV series, Big Time Rush. From November 28, 2009 through July 25 in 2013, the show ran. The pilot episode showcased the group's first single promo, "Big Time Rush". The group recorded three albums, BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 , and 24/Seven 2013. The band in 2014 took a break that lasted up to 2021. They resumed live performances in the studio and released "Call It Like It's What It's Like". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 as they were simultaneously airing the television series Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show, and also to add original music for the show. The series' first single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November 29 the 29th of November, 2009. The song was officially revealed on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast worldwide. The show premiered during a one-hour special trailer for the show and is currently the show's theme for opening. The promotional singles were also made available by the show, including "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song called "Famous". The song was released to iTunes on June 29, 2010. After the series' premiere, another song, "Halfway There", went live on iTunes on April 27 in 2010. The track quickly became the first to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to sales on digital platforms the track climbed to 93. Big Time Rush's second single, "Till You Forget About You" was released on the 21st of September on the 21st of September. It was released in order to promote the release of their debut album. The album, called BTR and released on October 11 in the 11th of October, 2010. The album climbed to number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within its first week.
