Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also called Emma was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a homemaker, as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and chief executive officer). She is of Swedish and British Isles heritage. Stone began acting as a child at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she gave her first stage performance in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. She was in a variety of productions during her early teens, and at 15 years old, she decided that she wanted to pursue acting as a profession. Officially, she created a PowerPoint presentation, which was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her parents that she should go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. The pitch was successful and she and her mom moved to LA with her schooling completed at home. She then spent her days auditioning. Her TV debut was when she was chosen to play Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004). The show led to several small TV roles throughout the years. Her first film role was Jules in Superbad (2007) and following a string of success, her main part in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a rising star. She attended Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. While she is famous for her red hair, her real shade is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color in Superbad (2007) and she loved it so much that she chose to keep the color. When she was 15, she convinced her parents that she was able to move to Hollywood. The way she did this was by creating an PowerPoint presentation entitled Project Hollywood. She started acting at the age of 11 years old and was a part of Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here she performed on 16 stages, and took part in the comedy improv troupe of the theatre. Caylee Cowan also acted at the Valley Youth Theatre.
