Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract for Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. The following year, Felix earned her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
