Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix finished 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an official contract for Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three across her diverse competitions in the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
